Do you ever feel that you would nearly kill yourself for a camera? I did last night, running through the sunset in this gorgeous seaside town.
I ran through downtown, out to the island and back, and then over one of the bridges. The sun was setting and there was such a quiet translucent light of peace over everything. The sky and the land were all dusty rose and silvery blue and the sun was turning the heavy equipment in the shipyard into an amazing fiery orange foil. The little salt-box houses and the boats moored on the quiet river gave everything such a quaint and sea-side feel. A tugboat went rumbling distantly through the harbour. I will never forget it.
