When I was at Fripp with my family, my mom asked me what color toe nail polish I had on because she really liked it. I responded Yucatan If You Want To by OPI. I have worn this color for as long as I can remember. It is my signature. I realized one day while at the nail salon when the young girl giving me a pedicure was trying to convince me to go for royal blue (or whatever the latest trend was) that I have always liked this color because it reminded me of the color my mom always wore! I told her this and she teared up. When she could contain herself, she told me that she wore that color because it was what her mother wore. Now I was tearing up! So I'm third generation Yucantan If You Want To! Oh my. Wonder if I ever have a daughter if she will Yucatan If You Want To or opt for the royal blue?
While I am talking nails...my hair salon, Canvas Hair, located at 436 King Street, opened their new addition upstairs and now they do nails, as well as waxing and make-up application. You should go to there (to quote Tina Fey). I have been going to Turner (one of the owners) for 11 years...and now so do the majority of my friends...she is amazing!
