Yesterday we spent the day as tourists going somewhere we'd never been before, despite it only being an hour away. Waltham Abbey was built in 1060 making it nearly 1000 years old and the painting (above in the bottom right corner) was started at that time (and finished in the 1500s). I still find that incredible! The photo top left is of a tapestry draped over the alter which sat below the painting. It was beautiful and I particularly liked the contrast of the simple wooden cross sitting on top of such an intricately designed fabric.
I also took great pleasure in completing an ongoing job on Saturday, making my deadline just on time so I could enjoy my one day off yesterday! And now it's Monday so another job begins, and I get to work on something completely new again. I hope you all had lovely weekends?
